  • Where You are using the Portal under the "Academic Institute" category, details of the academic/educational institution that you represent (the "Institution"), including without limitation, the name of such Institution, its address, website details, affiliations with other academic institutions, details of the statutory bodies who have granted recognition to the Institution, whether or not the Institution receives financial aid, whether or not the Institution is co-educational, courses offered by the Institution, requirements for admission, etc. We would also collect personal details regarding the official of such Institution who is authorized to use the Portal on behalf of the Institution, such as such official's name, designation, phone numbers, email address, and residential address. Over and above the foregoing, We may also require You to provide Us with personal details of Your students, which may include the items mentioned in the third item above.
  • Where You are using the Portal under the "Employer" category ("Employer"), details of the Employer, including without limitation, the name of the Employer, the number of persons employed by it, the business in which the Employer is engaged in, its office address, website details, employee projections, hiring requirements and criteria, salaries and employment benefits offered, etc.
  • Academic and/or employment search behavior and preferences, and a record of the searches that You make on the Portal. We do this in order to present You with recommendations based on Your interests as expressed previously through Your searches.
  • Other details that You may submit to Us or that may be included in the information provided to Us by third parties.


We may obtain information about You from various sources, including the Portal, when You call or email Us or communicate with Us through social media, or when You participate in events, contests or other promotions.   • Inform users of educational courses offered by Institutions that may be of interest to them. In such connection, displaying on the Portal, inter alia, admission criteria, course descriptions, details regarding the relevant Institution, and any other relevant information regarding the relevant Institution and the course as may be required to be displayed to give prospective applicants sufficient information regarding the same.
  • Inform users of products and/or services that may be beneficial or of interest to them; and upon receiving the consent or concurrence or an indication of interest, from the users in respect of the same, putting the users in touch with the suppliers or providers of such products and/or services, and providing relevant information pertaining to the users to such suppliers or providers.

Those employers / educational institutions may use Your information to contact You directly. Additionally, when You apply for a job and/or an educational course through the Portal, the information supplied by You becomes part of Our database and may also may become part of the employer's / educational institution's database. Similarly, if any information pertaining to You is downloaded by an employer, such information may become a part of the employer’s database. In these instances, the use of such information by the employer will be subject to the privacy policy of such employer, and We are not responsible for use of Your information by such persons.

  1. (1)  Where You, as an Employer, register on the Portal and post jobs thereon, We shall inform users of such job postings that may be of interest to them. In such connection, We would display on the Portal, inter alia, the salary details, job descriptions, the qualifications and skill sets desired by the Employer of the prospective applicants, and any other relevant information regarding the Employer and the job offered by it as may be required to be displayed to give prospective applicants sufficient information regarding the same.
  2. (2)  Where You are an Institution, We shall inform users of educational courses offered by the Institution that may be of interest to them. In such connection, We would also display on the Portal, inter alia, admission criteria, course descriptions, details regarding You, and any other relevant information regarding the Institution and the courses offered thereby as may be required to be displayed to give prospective applicants sufficient information regarding the same.
  3. (3)  Furthermore, We shall be entitled to use and combine certain information about the various Employers and Institutions who use the Portal or otherwise avail of Our services, as well as information mentioned in the paras (1) and (2) above of this clause (b), and prepare reports for Our users and clients based thereon. Such reports would contain information of many Employers/ Institutions combined together and would not identify any specific Employer/ Institution. Such reports and the intellectual property therein shall vest with and belong solely to the Company and the Employers / Institutions shall have no rights, title or interest therein.
  4. (4)  Where You are an Institution, the Company shall be entitled to use the data and information collected by it from the Institution regarding its students, to approach such students and offer and render its services thereto.

(c) General

  1. (1)  Where You have provided Your personal information on a portal that is "hosted" or "co-branded" by a party other than the Company, then that information will be made available to both the Company and the hosting/co-branding entity. The Company is not responsible for what the hosting/co-branding company, or any third party with whom You may share Your personal information, subsequently does with Your information. You should review the privacy policy of the hosting/co-branding entity to ensure that You are comfortable with how it intends to use and disclose Your information.
  2. (2)  The Company also may disclose specific user information, where such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or order, judgment or decree of a court or authority of competent jurisdiction, or to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement, to prevent a crime or protect national security, or to protect the interests or safety of the Company or other users of the Portal.

Please include "Delete my Information" in the subject line and Your full name and e-mail address in the body of the e-mail. We will respond to or act on Your request in a timely manner, normally within thirty (30) days. Please note that some information may not be deleted from all databases and backup records. If You have posted content on or through the Portal, We may not be able to delete it.

Upon cancellation of Your account for any reason whatsoever, or deletion of Your information based on Your request, copies of Your information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared publicly, with students, professionals, employers, educational institutions and providers, connections, friends, friends of friends, or was copied or stored by others. We may also retain certain information for customer service, legal and similar business purposes. We will also retain logs, demographic, indirect, and statistical information that may relate to You but do not identify You personally. Moreover, notwithstanding the cancellation of Your account or deletion of Your information, the Company shall be entitled to continue to use Your Information for its business analytics and other purposes, without requiring Your consent or authorization in any manner.

Furthermore, in respect of Institutions, even post cancellation of the Institution's registration on the Portal, the Company shall be entitled to continue to display information pertaining to the name of the Institution and the courses offered thereat on the Portal, without requiring to obtain any consent from the Institution in respect of the same.

Furthermore, in respect of Employers, even post cancellation of the Employer's registration on the Portal, the Company shall be entitled to continue to display information pertaining to the name of the Employer and the nature of jobs offered thereat on the Portal, without requiring to obtain any consent from the Employer in respect of the same


Supplying personal information is entirely voluntary. You are not required to register with Us in order to use the Portal. However, please note that certain services are available only to visitors who do register.

You may change Your interests at any time and may opt-in or opt-out of any marketing / promotional / newsletters mailings. The Company reserves the right to send You certain service related communication, considered to be a part of Your account with the Portal without offering You the facility to opt-out. You may update Your information and change Your account settings at any time.

If You no longer wish to receive Our newsletter and promotional communications, You may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing Us at support@letscareerup.com by including “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.
